I have stayed with Bernie & Gerard several times and always thoroughly enjoy my stay at Holly Homestead. They make you feel very welcome and at home. The attention to detail is amazing. The rooms and beds are extremely comfortable with lots of little surprises. Gerard's daily changing hot breakfast is a great start of the day. In winter it is always lovely and warm and when I woke up one frosty morning, they had put a sheet over my car to avoid the windscreen from the frost.
The homestead itself is like out of a picture book. The old world charm with all the modern comforts.
I have stayed in many upmarket B&B and Holly Homestead would be one of my favourites. I can highly recommend staying here! You will love it!

Thank you so much for treating us to such a pleasant stay at your lovely B&B. It really was the perfect antidote to a day spent climbing that glacier! It certainly felt like being at home - being looked after and having our washing done! Thanks too for the info re things to do - I wish all accommodation owners were as helpful as yourselves (and made such delicious muffins).

"Team Holly" consists of Gerard & Bernadine( Bernie) Oudemans. Gerard & Bernie are both proud to be New Zealand born and bred with Gerard being a 1st generation "kiwi" of Dutch descent and Bernie can trace some of her Scottish ancestors back to their arrival in New Zealand in 1853.
